I ordered these hoping to save some money.I kept getting negative results from these. If not for my ultrasounds at the Doctor's office, I would not have known that I was going to ovulate. I almost missed it because of these.

I received 5 of these test strips free with my order, and even ordered 5 extra just in case. I'm the type of person who always wants to test as soon as possible and as often as I can. I decided to try one of these test a few days before my period was due. I didn't properly read the directions and assumed I wasn't pregnant because I immediately saw the test line and nothing under it. I tested again 2 days later and this time waited about a minute after and saw a faint line. I wasn't sure if that was correct because the line was so faint, so I emailed the company and they instructed me to check with a doctor but a line should mean pregnancy. I retested a few days later and the line continued to get darker. Anyhow, I used to spend a lot of $$ of pregnancy tests but there is no need, they are all the same.
A few tips:
You need something to collect your urine in, because you have to dip the stick

So I knew my husband and I were going to start TTC in a few months so I purchased 10, knowing it might take a few months, well the first month, I used 5 and never saw a faint line, nothing! Needless to say I wasn't pregnant, so the second month at 9DPO I decided to test and I got a positive, a very faint line but even my husband couldn't deny it was there. As one reviewer stated if you can handle a faint line they are awesome. Also I agree with another user who had her husband try one and got no line at all!! That is when I knew, but was still skeptical so I tested again the next day and again another line, a little darker.
I then tested at about 13DPO and got a definitly darker line.
What I like about these is they worked SO EARLY and I didn't feel bad testing a million times including allowing my husband to "waste" one because they were so cheap.

These are wonderful tests and a financial God-send. I have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), which means I normally don't ovulate - hence becoming pregnant is difficult. Having the information from these strips was great for our "trying to conceive" journey, both for us and for our doctor. But also, having to use these for more than 9 months before we finally did conceive, the difference in cost between these and what is available in stores was wonderful. I knew we were in this for the long haul, and I'm so glad I found these strips before we actually began to try.

I used them for about 15-20 days of each cycle for nine months, never seeing an actual positive result. I admit, I did wonder whether they actually worked or not. But after three months of metformin (glucophage), my body regulated and ovulated, and these tests detected it. There was no question - I had a positive test. I started using these "stupid strips" about 6-8 months ago and could not get a positive result for anything! The test line would get darker during the month but still only about 1/2 the shade of the control line. I thought it was due to the strips not working. Come to find out, after consulting my doctor, I found out that I have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), which means that I don't ovulate normally, only about once every 3-5 months. My doctor put me on Clomid to "trick" my body into ovulating and after adjusting the dosage the lab test showed I ovulated on the 2nd month but not pregnant. So I pulled the strips back out and figured, what the heck, what do I have to loose?! So I started testing again at home to try and find my exact ovulatioin date. There it was, on day 17 of the 3 month on Clomid, I got a positive result (a positive result was more than obvious. I think my line was darker than the control)!! I know a lot of people say that these tests do not work and that the directions are vague, but they are really not that complicated, I don't know how you can't understand them. They are NOT like pregnancy tests in that even if you see a faint line, it's positive. My cycles have been off since stopping birthcontrol so I decided to use these each day of my cycle. For the whole month I had a faint test line and a dark control line. The day before the surge it was quite a bit darker than normal, but still not equal to or greater than the control line. The next day it was an OBVIOUS positive. The test line was much darker than the control line and showed up very quickly. Tried it again the next day and it was back to negative (which is what it is supposed to do.)
There is a note that comes with the individually packaged strips that gives you a website to go to if you need more specific directions.
The only advice that I can give is that it says you can test at any time of... Read more
